2012 Agriculture Awareness Grants
In 2012 Metro Vancouver is providing a total of $35,000 in funding grants to non-profit organization to help promote agriculture awareness through the region.

Organizations interested in applying for a funding grant should complete the 2012 Application Form and submit by 4:00pm Monday, March 5, 2012.
The 2012 Application Form can be filled out and submitted online or applicants can send a completed form to Metro Vancouver by email or fax or mail.

Grant Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for funding the proposed agriculture awareness activity must meet the following mandatory requirements:
1. Have a regional scope (impacting more than one municipality)
2. Be located in Metro Vancouver
3. Be administered by a non-profit organization in good standing, and
4. Have matching funding (dollars or in-kind) from another organization.

All applications will also be evaluated on the following criteria:

• the proposed activity reaches out to a diverse audience or features practical skills and knowledge for K-12 school children
• involves two or more organizations working together collaboratively
• the activity results in agriculture awareness information/materials that can be widely accessed, and
• the activity is innovative in improving agriculture awareness in the Metro Vancouver region.

The agriculture awareness applications will be evaluated by Metro Vancouver's Agricultural Advisory Committee (AAC) and reviewed by the Regional Planning and Agriculture Committee prior to final approval from the Metro Vancouver Board. The funding grants will be awarded in June 2012.
