The town centre location of this facility ensures residents of easy access to surrounding facilities. Incorporated into the ground floor is a large reception room which is available for rental for events and hosts a seniors center as well.

For more than a decade, studies and community forums recommended the creation of a new Town Centre for Maple Ridge which would serve to shape the focus of the area as the heart of the community. The area has been designed to support pedestrian activity and easy accessibility for all ages and consists of the following features:
- Public library - library space was increased from 15,000 sq. feet to 37,000 sq. ft.
- Business Centre - 90,000 sq. feet of high quality accessible office space is available to the private sector. In addition, some civic departments are housed in this facility as well as in the original Municipal Hall which is attached to this centre;
- Leisure Centre - leisure and fitness space was increased from 39,000 sq. feet to 72,000 sq. feet;
- Greg Moore Youth Centre - 15,000 sq. ft. area operated in partnership with the Maple Ridge Youth Council;
- Arts Centre and Theatre - a new facility to be operated in partnership with the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Arts Council. The facility contains a 500 seat professional theatre space, 150 seat studio theatre, workshop areas, art gallery and conference rooms;
- Memorial Park - central public park area widely used for festivals, outdoor concerts etc. Also houses a heritage bandstand and the veterans memorial;
- Underground parking to complement the existing on street parking;.

Haney House was built in 1878 for Thomas and Annie Haney. The house has survived for 125 years with virtually no changes, including its original cottonwood wainscotting, and some of the Haney's original furnishings and possessions. The house sits on 1 acre of land and contains the most significant group of plantings in the area, including two large maple trees, remnants from a historic cedar grove, and an orchard planted between 1898 and 1902. Haney House was restored with a grant from the B.C. Heritage Trust, and operates as a museum. The house is considered to be a very important part of Maple Ridge's historic character and captures an accurate glimpse on British Columbia's pioneer lifestyle.
