| Aldergrove Lake Regional Park | Water Quality Advisory on Drinking Water
Please be advised that a Water Quality Advisory is still in effect for all areas within Aldergrove Lake. Drinking water is unavailable in the park until further notice. If you are planning a hike, ride, picnic, or event, please be sure to bring an adequate supply of water. For more information, contact Parks – East Area at (604) 530-4983. Thank you. | Main Access Road Closure on March 24, 2010 (new) The parking lot at the Lake area will be closed Wednesday, March 24th while bridge repairs take place along the main access road. Parking will be available north of the Blacktail Picnic area, as per signage. All trails will remain open. For more information, please contact Parks – East Area at 604-530-4983 for more information. Thank you. | | Belcarra Regional Park | Maple Beach closed Maple Beach, along the Admiralty Point trail, continues to be contaminated with oil from the recent Burrard spill and is closed. Please respect posted signs and stay on the trail until inspections indicate that clean up is complete. For more information please call Parks – Central Area at 604-520-6442. | | Brae Island Regional Park | Tavistock Loop Trail Open – Use Caution
The Tavistock Loop Trail is now open; some construction remains underway in order that the trail meets universal accessibility standards, with anticipated completion Spring 2010. Thank you. | | Colony Farm Regional Park | Trail Closure - Sheep Paddocks Trail
Sheep Paddocks Trail, which is also a section of the Traboulay PoCo Trail, has been closed permanently. This closure affects the area between Mundy Creek and Pitt River Road. Due to extensive erosion and damage caused by last year’s washout, there are no plans to replace or re-open the trail. For your safety, please respect the closure and do not go around signs and barriers. An alternative route to reach the Traboulay Poco Trail and Pitt River Road via Shaughnessy Street is marked with signs on-site. For more information please call Parks – Central Area at 604-520-6442. | | Lynn Headwaters Regional Park | Seasonal backcountry route closure All backcountry routes in Lynn Headwaters Park above Norvan Falls in Lynn Valley and north of Dam Mountain and Thunderbird Ridge in the Grouse Alpine area are now closed for the winter. These routes include Hanes Valley, Lynn Lake, Coliseum Mountain, Crown Mountain, Goat Mountain and Goat Ridge. | Trail Conditions Mar 14 Trail Conditions Update:

During or after sudden rainfall in Lynn Valley, creek levels can rise rapidly making creek crossing difficult or impossible. Stay well back from the edge of fast flowing creeks.
Park visitors to high elevation areas should be trained and equipped for winter mountain travel. Visitors to the Munday Alpine Snowshoe park behind Grouse Mountain should check for updated conditions or closures at (604) 986-6262 or http://www.grousemountain.com and for avalanche hazard at the Canadian Avalanche Association http://www.avalanche.ca/cac/bulletins/regions | | Matsqui Trail Regional Park | Construction at Kelleher Road until Spring 2010
A new section of riverside trail, adjacent to and west of Kelleher Road, is now under construction. Brief closures may occur along the dyke trail at Kelleher Road for equipment to access the worksite. Please use caution, obey all signs, and make eye contact with the operator before proceeding. Thank you. | | Pacific Spirit Regional Park | Council Trail Closed until Further Notice Council Trail will be closed south of the Salish Trail until further notice, due to bridge damage incurred during recent windstorms. For more information, please contact Parks – West Area at 604-224-5739. Thank you. | Wreck Beach Foreshore Trail Closure until Further Notice 2010 The Foreshore Trail, between Trail 6 and Trail 7, is closed due to a significant cliff failure and landslide. The trail will remain closed until further notice. The beach is still accessible via Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 6, Trail 7 and Acadia Beach. Thank you. | | Pitt River Greenway | Temporary Dyke Closures until March 2010 The City of Pitt Meadows is currently removing trees along the dyke between Kennedy Road and the Canadian Pacific Railway line (south of Lougheed Hwy.) to meet Provincial Dyke Maintenance Act Requirements. Temporary closures may be effected while work is underway, with completion expected in early March. Please watch for crews and equipment, and obey all signs.
