Grease Trap Regulation

When grease traps are not properly maintained, grease from commercial kitchens goes into the sewer where it builds up and clogs the sewer system. Removing grease build-up in the sewer is costing the citizens of Metro Vancouver about $2 million per year.

Proposed Changes to the Grease Trap Regulation Could Impact Your Business

Metro Vancouver is revising grease trap maintenance requirements for restaurants, cafeterias and supermarkets to make sure grease traps are kept in working order. To learn more about the proposed changes to the regulation check out our video and “How to keep grease out of the sewer” resources. Then fill out the survey below to provide us with your feedback.

If you own or manage a kitchen in a restaurant, cafeteria or supermarket, we want to hear from you!
